Magnetic insects

This game is a real challenge for little ones! The task is to make the children feel like a little kid by weaving the magnetic wand to draw out as many insects as possible, thus improving eye-hand coordination. At the end of the game, ask your child to put the insects back together – this will help develop fine motor skills. This game is also a great opportunity to learn to recognise insects, numbers (you will find them in the insect area), shape and colour recognition. If you’re still short of ideas, insects can be used as moulds for creative activities – circle the chosen writing or colouring pen on a sheet of paper, then work with your child to complete the drawings and colour them in.
